Chairman David Yokeum and CEO Dan March commenced the week with a powerful plenary session that included updates on WCA’s new eCommerce Network. Dan March explained how “The world is going through a digital transformation” and how the logistics industry is becoming more demanding as expectations continue to rise. He mentioned that WCA’s global position gives members an advantage, aligning them for success in today’s digital age
Dan also commented on the growth of WCA’s eCommerce network, now boasting 320 forwarders of which 55 have been successfully certified. Members were encouraged to attend the 1st annual eCommerce conference immediately following the close of the America’s Regional conference.
Delegates also heard from other WCA management staff at the WCA plenary including Kaitlyn Mode, International Marketing Manager, Sripad Bharati, Managing Director of IT, and Bryce Barnhart, President of World Insurance. All highlighted the important, useful benefits and products available at member fingertips.
In just four days, delegated participated in more than 5,000 One-on-One meetings boosting business connections and global exposure. FSL Black, World Insurance Services new high-level program that provides bespoke FSL and cargo insurance for top tier forwarders, was also unveiled.
World insurance Services, WCA’s exclusive risk management provider, revealed its new FSL Black program. World insurance also plans to introduce cyber insurance solutions, in response to the incorporation of WCA’s new eCommerce logistics
network, in the upcoming months. The next regional conference will be held June 2018 in Hyderabad, India.
